The Heritage Business School Alumni Association successfully organized the Annual Alumni Meet, SMRITI 2025, on February 22, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium. The event witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of 98 alumni members. The occasion was honoured by the presence of Mr. Pradeep Agarwal, CEO, KBT; Prof. Anup K Sinha, Chief Mentor, HBS; Prof. Aloke Kr Sen, Former Director, HBS; Mr. Kaushik Bhattacharya, Head, Training & Placement Cell, along with other esteemed dignitaries.

As a tradition since 2019, Heritage Business School has been recognizing its Distinguished Alumni for their remarkable contributions in various fields. This year, the Distinguished Alumnus Award in Business & Profession was conferred upon Mr. Abhishek Boral from the 1st Batch (2003-05), currently serving as Zonal Head (East) at Hindware Home Innovation Ltd. In the Entrepreneurship category, the award was presented to Mr. Atif Pervej from the 9th Batch (2011-2013), Director of ITT Group. Additionally, Mr. Biswanath Khan from the 1st Batch (2003-05) received the STAR Alumnus Award for his contributions to Public Service Management as Sub-Divisional Information & Cultural Officer, Bidhannagar & Public Engagement Officer, NKDA.

A significant highlight of SMRITI 2025 was the launch of Nexus, the first biannual alumni newsletter of Heritage Business School, aimed at showcasing alumni achievements and updates. The newsletter was conceptualized and designed under the leadership of Ms. Purbasha Roy, Vice President, Heritage Business School Alumni Association.

Another milestone initiative was the introduction of a pilot mentoring program, where interested alumni will mentor selected students from the current batches, equipping them with industry insights and career guidance. Mr. Chiranjib Datta Chaudhuri, President of the Alumni Association, conducted a session outlining the program’s objectives and benefits.

This year marked the 15th anniversary of the Full-Time 6th Batch (2008-2010) and Evening 2nd Batch (2007-2010). To celebrate the occasion, a special video tribute was presented, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony for the respective batch members.

The event was further enriched with cultural performances, fun activities, and vibrant participation from the current students, culminating in an energetic DJ Night and Dinner. The evening was a nostalgic journey for the alumni, fostering renewed connections and cherished memories.
